My '54 gun is not marked "Mountie" and I don't remember if later guns are or not.

They did produce a later model carbine called the Take Down Special which is exactly the same, but branded differently.

What all constitutes a Mountie? Straight stock and "Mountie" on the barrel? Other features?

Miss Melodie has a straight stocked Marlin 39 but it is not marked Mountie. Just curious.
