I had a day at home with nothing to do, and my back is feeling pretty good ... so I got out in the shop and assembled some AR-15 projects that I've been accumulating parts for.

First up, lightweight AR-15 build on a GWACS polymer lower. This lower is a warranty replacement for an out of spec CAV ARMS lower I've had for a while.

EBR project

looking through my parts bin and I realized I have everything to build an EBR except a bolt carrier and a barrel. Two criteria lightweight and as economical as possible (read cheap). Must be a plain no sights straight barrel 16" with no G launcher cut. Chrome lined not necessary not going to be a MBR just a fixed sight behind the seat universal carbine for the ocassional varmint. Any one have an extra carrier or barrel? If not where is the best (cheapest) source at the present time.
