I've always called those "gun jewelery" because they are about the classiest little handgun Smiff ever came up with, and you just want to wear them, without really having to shoot them. In the back of the safe, I have a 2.5" mod. 66 that was issued to and stamped by the TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission), and then engraved all over by Weldon Bledsoe.

I bought it to play with and then to have fun trading with (reply)

you can always present the possibilities. I will entertain all offers.
Entertain(ment) being the operative word. MRoberts53@aol.com

I don't want to sell it out right, I just want to trade. Jack has already offered me $100 smooth profit on the phone before I got it home. Although that doesn't mean that some amount of boot one way or the other is out of the question. I used my ffl when I bought it. It's in my ffl official "inventory" so shipping to your ffl is automatically built into the trade. If we come to a deal and you don't like it when you get it, just send it back within, oh say 5 days, and we'll undo the deal. This is recreational for me. I make my living by actually working - well sort of anyway. No box. What you see is what I got.

OK, that may be ancient technology, BUT (reply)

I have one just like it, and out of a custom holster that Rob made for it a few years back, it is the quickest thing from the leather that I own.

I do mostly shoot .38 Specials out of it, or +P .38 Special level handloads in magnum cases. Still, if had to carry with any serious expectation of maybe having to shoot real quick to save my bacon, that short little snorter would be on my belt.

BTW, before you trade it off, stick a Tyler adapter on it and run a box of 145-grain Winchester Silvertips through it. You may decide it ain't so old-fashioned after all.

Send thumbpiece, trigger, hammer and ejector rod to be gold plated. Buy purty white grippy stock things and a high polish Tyler T-Grip for it.

Then again, that is getting back 'in the day'. I once had a .44 Special I traded a fellow board member I would have swapped for your Model 19-2. Good score Mark.

When I bought a 4 inch Python .357 the other day, a friend joking asked "Is it even legal to shoot anybody with those anymore? I don't think you can hurt anybody with old technology like that anyway." I still like your Model 19 and my Python.

Actually Rob, I did buy with intention of it being trade (reply)

material. I got it from one of the Gunsmiths I use. Lou Williamson. I used to favor .357 over all others. My 6 inch Python in particular was my go to. But at over 50, my hands don't like the quick recoil like they used to and, I sometimes forget to "go to ears" before I shoot in the field. I've gone to 9's and 45's. Oh and regarding the 3 cases and the 10 round magazine offer, as Arch has been known to say, "My clutch is slipping some at that".

perfect M-19. That was the hot ticket for a carry gun up through the 90s. They are obsolete no, I have 3 empty 300 Whisper cases and a really cool Glock 10 round mag I trade you. Remember shooting a 23/4" M-66 that belonged to a fellow MP...no ear plugs...painful& stupid...
