Age Check on a '94 Winchester

A fellow I've been getting to know at church showed me a levergun that had belonged to his grandfather. It was his grandfather's go-to hunting rifle for whitetail in Michigan. It's a neat old gun, a '94 carbine in .32 Winchester Special, with near 'bout all the blueing worn off the receiver. The serial number is 11292XX. Can anyone tell me how old that carbine might be? I'd like to pass the info along to him.

Thanks,

-AaronB
