I met Tom on one of the early boards here back around 2003. Our first meeting was at the last Athens, TX shoot back around 2004. 19 years of good memories and friendship that will be sorely missed. Toms smile and sense of humor will always be the first thing that come to mind when I think of him.

EVERYBODY knew him. Absolutely everyone. I doubt the Mayor was as recognized as he was.

The world and our community has lost a fine man. I will never forget how Tom "rescued" Stonewalrus and me when our vehicle conked out on the interstate on our first trip to Clarksville some years ago. He didn't even know us at the time, but he came and got all our guns and gear and hauled our stuff around for three days while our vehicle was being fixed. Welcomed two rookies into the Sixshooter community just like he had known us forever.

Prayers for his family, may the Lord comfort them during this time of adjustment to his absence. Sure missed seeing him the last two Holidays I made it to.

I woke up early this morning, thinking about him and feeling like I should send him a message. I sent a text saying "You are in my prayers. Better than that, you are in the Lord's hands." And he is.
