Taurus. It is always preferable, in my opinion, to avoid Pro-mags of any type, but Wilson, McCormick, Colt, and Mecgar have all worked perfectly in my 9mm 1911 (a TISAS 1911A1).

I have a RIA 5" 1911a1 in 9mm, 1 factory and 2 Mec Gar mags, all have worked fine with the gun. I got mine thru these guys, good company to deal with.

I have heard Wilson Combat are the best, and pricey, but Bill spent a lot of money developing them, Mec Gar is the factory mag supplier for a bunch on gun companies, and they work. Beyond that I can't say with any assurance what will work.

Spare mags for a Taurus 1911 in 9mm?

I was wondering if any of you know what mags would work with a Taurus 1911 in 9mm? Do you know if they use a regular Colt type mag, or if they went and did something of their own? Not mine, just trying to help someone figure it out.
