In the late 60's I worked at Todd shipyards in San Pedro, CA as a shipfitter. I was one of the men that built the aluminum superstructures on three sister ships of the FF1059.

Starboard topside paint locker conflagration ff-1059 spring '88

Mayport s.i.m.a. shipfitters were replacing sprung door. Plasma torch ignited paint thinner. Firemain water just made it angry. Aqueous film forming foam did the trick.

Unauthorized tour of william holden's & stefanie power's yacht cannes marina med. cruise spring '87.

Most of the fotos of stef. on the bulkheads were black and white but there were a few color and I was disappointed that the carpet did not quite match the drapes.....
