<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Back then most manufacturers didn't want someone else's brand on their firearm. So 32 Winchester Center Fire (WCF) would have been highly undesirable to the folks at S$W.  Remington didn't mark their rifles as 22 WMR and Marlin didn't mark their rifles as 30 WCF or 25 WCF, etc.</p>
