In 72-73 I shot a Model 58 that had been rechambered/rebored to 45 Colt. All it needed was a taller front sight to be perfect.

But there is a fellow here in town I can check with.

Be aware that any .44 Magnum S&W barrel will need the top rib machined lower to match up with your 58 frame, but you probably already know that….
