Hi -

I went with the discontinued Nikon 3-9x42mm AO. It has the thick then thin reticle. From the porch railing at 25yards an aspirin is in trouble. At 100 yards hits on 3" gong are pretty easy. I'm pretty happy.

Or look around CameraLandNY for whatever suits - have bought lots of stuff from Doug, high end to low end without any issues.

Reminds me of the line... you should buy a nice big American car, probably a Cadillac, probably mine

a straight and simple and rugged and light scope which you can mount as low as you want to go. Plenty of magnification at rimfire ranges, 350yd rimfire shots fairly rare in the hunting field.

Scope for CZ457 Lux 22 Rimfire

Hi -

I have a CZ457 .22 Rimfire that I am going to mount a scope on.

I only have 2 scoped rifles and both wear Nikon 3-9X for hunting Whitetails.

This .22 Rimfire is accurate. I will use for punching paper at 25 and 50 yards, and also for pasture varmints.

I am leaning to the Nikon Prostaff P3 Target EFR 3-9 X 40 AO, 16606 at about $190.

Your thoughts?
Thanks!
