Rare Ruger Single Six for sale.....

Gentlemen, my memory cells are not at peak capacity any longer, so a few details might be fuzzy here.

Some 5 to 10 years after the introduction of the New Model Single Six, a firearms distributor had a special run made up of New Models with the older style windage only rear sight. I cannot recall the distributor's name, but I do recall that there were only a total of 1500 Single Six revolvers in the run, 500 each in 4.75, 5.5, and 6.5 inch barrels.

So these look like what some folks erroneously call the flattop Single Six, but they have the New Model action. Oh, and two cylinders each of course, .22LR and .22 Magnum.

I've managed to collect a half dozen of these over the years, all in factory boxes except for one. Only two of my six have been fired.

I propose to sell one at this time, and one only.

For your consideration is an unfired NIB example with a 5.5" barrel, both cylinders, paperwork, etc. I'd like $575 shipped to your FFL, which is a reasonable price considering what a current Single Six costs, being only a slight premium over a standard version and yet far more rare and desirable. Not only in the box, but with the shipping box which is correctly marked, btw.

I will post pics by tomorrow evening. This price is firm, no negotiations. These were a very limited run, and the fixed sight versions currently offered have very little charm, desirability, or build quality in comparison. If I can't get my price I can wait another 10 years or so and sell it for more. Don't mean to sound harsh, but these are what they are, and that is little gems.

Otony
