Do not count yourself out yet! I know several people who have survived and lived many years of healthy, active lifestyles after suffering mini-strokes, heart attacks, and even multiple open heart surgeries. Just because you are experiencing a rough patch now, does not mean things cannot improve, have faith and never give up, none of us know our future.

I'm 75 and have 4 stents, have heart failure and other problems. It is not the end of the world, you just have to adjust. I haven't lost driving and I would find that very confining. I'm with you brother and will remember you in prayer.

well... guess it's my turn in life... I've had several "mini-stroke" episodes within the last two months... been sent to emergency twice now... so wife made the decision to move... we've left our beloved farm in the Ozarks... it's for sale now... and we moved to Abilene, Texas, where we have family and are within 30 minutes of a major medical facility... at our old farm the closest emergency facility was over 90 minutes away... doc said I had to be within 60 to 90 minutes of the next attack or I can start looking at the pearly gates... so here we are... had to sell off all my guns again... down to my 1911 and a Rossi single-shot .410 shotgun... living in our 5th wheel RV till the farm sells... some days I really question the why this shit happens... I even lost the use of my vehicles... banned from driving now for about a year or until I go episode free for over 6 months... this is not the way I had envisioned my "golden" years retirement to go... oh well, such is life...

my advice to you younger folks?... don't grow old.
