We had SOME blackberries up here, but not a good crop and they were mostly small and seedy. Not a good year at all. Couple of years ago our neighbor Kenny picked and sold almost $400 worth.

We bushhogged many of the old patches down to clear hayfields. Some we are going to let come back in new vines. They seem to produce better.

Don't know about propagated blackberries in this area but we had none here and someone from down on the AL border mentioned that they did not have any either.
NO mulberries either and we have had the wettest summer I can remember of the 36 years we have lived here.

That is my darling, she is picking berries with our other darling girl Mona, a German Shorthair mix.

That is just 3 berries in her palm......
