On what you are willing to pay. In these days of floating currency values and inflation, if you want to pay for quality it can still be found for about the same relative prices as it has always been, at least if you compare it to the value of gold. I just wish my wages were able to keep pace with the value of gold, but I am still working for the same wages as I did 25 years ago.

It's not a mint gun but the condition is pretty reasonable for being over 100 years old. I like it a lot. See the barrel flat treatment between the action and rear sight? Love that.

VERY neat rifle. It's what my Martini wants to be when it grows up.

found this photo...need to take some more later. The Vickers Martinis are pretty interesting. One piece integral action and barrel...machined together. That can't be easy to do. Awesome triggers. This one needs a replacement buttpad and to have the lacquer finish stripped and taken back to oil finish. Neat Martini. The original sights are not easy to come by so I'm pleased to have the correct setup.

I have his rifle box made for THAT rifle. They shot beautifully but really handled klunky, in my hands anyways.

Those are very cool! I love going to gun shows to see all the neat toys and have always been fascinated with Martini's. Have never owned or even fired one, but they sure look like fun and are historically very significant.

I need to photograph it later today. I will post it here. I've wanted one for a long time. The seller had owned his for over 20 years. I don't see them trading hands frequently. His buddy has a takedown Greener rimfire version. I would really like to get that one eventually.
