Correct. However if you ever use a Series 80 slide, you will need to remove the spring & plunger from the firing pin block.

Remove the Series 80 levers and install a $9.00 spacer from Brownells, in the hole. Older slide should just slide on and work fine.

I think you would have to remove the 80 series additional safety. It has been a wile.

Can a Colt Series 80 frame be fitted with a earlier non-series 80 slide? If so, what does it take?
