I have an original Cobra (reply)

Circa 1956. Original grips. Minty. Does have a dab of White-Out on the front sight.

Kicks like a mule, even with wadcutters.

Been thinking about selling it. Local gunsmith has offered me $500 (and says he would sell it for $600). I think it's worth more.

If it were alloy like the original. (reply)

Indeed....those Colts were really under-appreciated, when they were relatively common...Besides, Dick Tracy used one. The difference in concealability is fairly minor, from J's. and I never had one that wasn't dead nuts accurate.

It has a steel frame... If it were alloy like the original. (reply)

It says that it has a steel frame. If it had an alloy frame, like the original Cobra, I would be interested, but a steel frame doesn't interest me.

The original Cobra was a fantastic carry gun. Light and handled extremely well. I had a pristine example, but foolishly sold it years ago..... Sigh
