One of my favorite things to do is in the winter pick a spot in the snowy hill side to shoot at or shoot at bullet holes in the snow. A free version of shoot and see targets. I was just outside this afternoon do this with my single six. Also like to stand up on.the gully behind the house and shoot into the creek. Picking rocks or spot in the water to shoot at.

Or maybe about the third time through a fella realizes it's on a loop.

We love going to the gravel pit and doing any sort of informal shooting.

One of my favorite plinking targets is the little plastic 2-cycle oil bottles that fuel mixing oil for chain saws and line trimmers comes in. Living where we do, I go through LOTS of that stuff and produce quite a few empty bottles. Got a big trash can that I throw the bottles into when I empty them, so I always have a ready supply. They are very reactive, especially when you bounce them around with a .45 or .38 Super. Then they go into another trash can and on a brush pile next time I burn one.

Sort of my own little closed-loop recycling system. We is environmentally friendly around here.
