Remington 7400 Magazine latch Part# 40

Coworker has a 7400 30-06 with a broken (plastic) magazine latch. New latches are available at GPC. However they list sizes 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4. does anyone know the difference and/or what measurement to take? Are the latches caliber specific? I am assuming that the vertical position of the magazine is determined by the size and may affect feeding.
