My thinking.... (reply)

From about 1961 to 1964, a Remington-Rand 1911A1 was my only centerfire handgun. Recently I thought I would acquire one. A quick check of the prices put a stop to that notion. The Inland 1911A1 might be a worthy clone to have and shoot. I have several 1911a, but not a straight WWII version.

Hadn't heard of them before now (reply)

Here is their website:

https://www.inland-mfg.com/Inland-Handguns/1911-A1-Government.html

No idea if they are any good, but I look forward to learning more about their product line. If they are quality, it will be a nice way to get shooter WWII-style pieces!
