I wasn't thinking in that direction as I tend to load the same diameters, at least for the S&W, H&R and WCF, that being .313-.314". The ACP I don't load very often and tend to stick to jacketed fodder.

I have the M-Die for the .32SWL but am starting a different project using a .32-20 case and got to wondering why I needed a new M-Die. I'll give it a go and see what it tells me I need.

....that there may be a difference in the expander stem. Probably about .310" for the .312" bullet cartridges (like .32 S&W Long, etc.). and probably about .312" for the .314-.315" bullet cartridge (i.e. the .32-20).

Looking at the offerings, it seems as if the M-Dies are length sensitive. Perhaps the .32-20 is just too long to be supported by the shorter die? And, while they do not list it, perhaps the .327 would also use the die for the .32-20?

Sorry for 'question before thought'...it's been that kind of a day.

Why is it that Lyman lists one M-Die for the .32 ACP, .32 S&W Long and .32 H&R Magnum but a different M-Die for the .32-20? It would seem one die would suffice for the bunch (as well as the .327 Fed Mag). Any ideas?
