...are going that having a few extra mags around of the max capacity for my carry pieces might be a good idea. For the XD(M) Compact, that is 13 rnds. For the XDs, that would be 7 rnds. For the standard 1911's...you all know the score there, except for the dbl-stack P-13 I have had since shortly after they appeared on the market.

I have been told that XD and XDm mags for the 45 ACP are the same, unlike those for the 9mm. I have an XDm 45 but no XD to verify that.

Another magazine question, re. the XD (M) Compact .45 acp... (reply)

I have a standard XD 45 and XD 45 compact. The 13 round magazines work fine in either. The compact even came with a sleeve to give you a full grip with the 13 round.

Not sure what all was changed with the M.

Another magazine question, re. the XD (M) Compact .45 acp...

I am looking at the 13-rnd mags online and have not found a satisfactory answer thus far. I am wondering if the full-size XD(M) 13-round magazines will function in the XD(M) Compact? I see no reason why they wouldn't, but don't have one on hand to try.

OK, would the standard XD 13-round magazines function in the XD(M) Compact as well?
