JM: To answer your question, yes I do know who Sixgunner is! Many years ago I first met him at an NRA Convention (when he flew to the meetings before the onerous flying regulations were imposed)and enjoyed a brief chat as others were also wanting to talk with him. Later on when I lived in Nampa, ID (14 miles west of Boise)I again met
& chatted with him at one of the Boise Gun Shows. Also, I stopped by his home in Boise and had a nice visit. That was before his beloved dogs passed away. Another fine visit. Since that was a long time ago i am sure he would not remember me as I do him. I suppose their are folks who do not know him or who are not familiar with his great talent as a gun writer. Over the years I have purchased several of his books and enjoy his articles and style of writings in various magazines. Looking at his ol' grey beard and thinking of my own semi-bald grey head I would render a guess we are both about the same age. I w/turn 81 on Jul 31. He has had a long distinguished career as a gun writer and am glad he chose that profession. Odd, that
I in turn chose the military and have been retired for 41 years with a side trip to Vietman and other countries. I am also sure that there were many other fine folks who got that same paid trip to RVN.In any event that is my response to your question. I have no desire to pursue the issue further. SG: Checked Midway and they reflect $18.49 for a box of 100. Add shpg charges and they are mighty close to what I am asking. In any event if you want to go the Midway route that is fine and you can deal IMHO deal with them.
