Have found out my ability to estimate numbers of cases is not all that great. So far have come up with 345 once fired, assorted date, LC headstamped, pieces; and 500 unfired, primed, LC 53 headstamped pieces. Want to finish counting to see what is there so I know what can be parted with.

I have a box with a decent amount of '06 brass in it. I've been thinking about buying a rifle to go with it but if you are in need of some, you are welcome to it. I'll get a count tonight and see what's there. It's not 500, though!

Have probably 500(?) LC head stamped cases that are once fired from my national match days. Also have a quantity of LC headstamped primed, unfired cases, mostly with 53 dates. Don't know how many if these there are, but should be at least 500.

A friend was working on a project several years ago where he pulled the bullets and powder from a bunch of military '06. He gave me the primed, unfired cases to use for reloading. I will have to dig them out, check the headstamps and see how many cases there are.

The Garand shooters that don't reload sell off their once fired mil brass on the CMP ammunition forum, best place I've found to buy LC and HXP 30-06 brass. It sells fast though.

Greek HXP is good stuff. I have reloaded a bunch of it and it works fine. In fact the ammo is better than most LC I have used. It even works just fine for necking up to .35 Whelen.

See if you can find some of it.
