IIRC, the cannelure around the case results in a ridge on the inside upon which the base of the waddcutter bears when loaded properly, making for one more difference.

Oh, and it's empty WC brass. I want them for WC loads. NT (reply)

the answer is there is a difference.

Per Ed Harris (well known bullet caster), "Wad-cutter brass has thinner walls with a long cylindrical section which extends all the way to the seated base of the wadcutter bullet, whereas +P and other cases made for JHP service loads are thicker walled and have a faster internal taper intended to increase bullet pull to improve ballistic uniformity with the slower powders used for factory loading jacketed service loads."

It's definitely different than +P brass. Here's what it looks like...

.....but I honestly want to know. Is there something different about those cases? I too, think those are pretty cool, nice packaging, but just got to wondering if there was something internally that made them more suitable for wadcutter usage. Or is that empty wadcutter ammo?
