I've always been a fan of straight drop holsters, and that one is a true classic. Nice looking 1911 you have there too.

For years I have wanted one of these, a good leather range/carry holster with a open top. At one point even contacted Gordon Davis about getting one but didn't place the order. Then Gordon passed from a long illness. Recently I thought about it again and contacted Dave Cox who now runs Davis Leather Co and had worked with Gordon before his passing. Luck would have it that Dave was about to start a large batch order for Gunsite's pro shop and he said I could get in on that order and not have to wait the normal 5-6 weeks for delivery. You better believe I jumped on the chance and finally ordered it. Two weeks from ordering to delivery....
