I've seen them at optics planet for around $245 or so but it was on sale at $174 and I had some gift certificates to Midway so I figured I'd give it a shot. I need a decent scope for my Mini-14 Tactical and this is right in the power range I want....I was initially gonna snag a Leupold 2-7 but for this sale. I have a Vortex Viper 1-4 PST on my AR (formerly on this Mini) and so far I really like it. Can't argue with their warranty. The only thing I'm not really stoked about is the side focus parallax adjustment. I'm just not sure I need that on a 0-300 yard rifle and it adds a step, eliminating some simplicity. But anyway, this will give me a better chance to see what this Mini is really capable of with the better magnification and if I decide to upgrade to a Leupold on the rifle in the future I can throw this one on another rifle. Should be at the shop by tomorrow, and Friday I've already claimed the day off for a range therapy day:)
