West Virginia concealed carry permits still honored in Va.

Attorney General Patrick Morrisey is assuring state residents that West Virginia’s concealed carry reciprocity agreement with Virginia remains in place.

Earlier this week, Virginia’s attorney general announced that he had revoked reciprocity agreements with 25 states because their “concealed weapon laws don’t meet Virginia’s standards.”

A reciprocity agreement just means that if you have a concealed carry permit in one state, it is honored in another state.

was when I interviewed and then worked there.

Having seen no reason to have ever gone there before then, I see no reason to ever return in the future.

They never recognized Missouri CC permits anyway.

Thirty states will be cut off as of February first. The states are: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming. Only five states CCW will be recognized: Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah and West Virginia.

I live just a few miles from the Va border. I'll miss riding the Blue Ridge parkway in Va. but I refuse to travel or spend money in a state that won't honor my concealed carry permit, if at all possible. This is why we need a national reciprocity law.

Then Virginians with CCW can no longer carry in Kentucky.

KY honors CCW from ANY state that honors KY CCW license.

You still have to abide by Virginia Law while in Virginia........The most law abiding group in the nation......No excuse in my opinion,,,,,,,,,,None at all.

Only if the other state's requirements are less stringent than Virginia's. Least that's what I thought I heard.

Heard today listening to the Glenn Beck radio program,,,Fill in host said Virginia state attorney general to cancel honoring other state concealed carry permits in Virginia 35 total I believe.
