I would mostly agree with you, but I will have to say the fella that portrayed Chris Kyle in American sniper did one hell of a job! Especially considering his former role as a silly guy in the Hangover movies. He made one heck of a physical
Transformation and played the part to a tee!

As much as I like The Duke, he can be too much. I'm rotten with actor's names so I don't have any real input. Gene Hackman, as previously suggested, seems to fit. Pretty sure when the 'perfect' name comes up, we'll all be saying, "That's it!".

I thought of Mr. Wayne at first, but if such a movie had been made, I'm afraid it would be more John Wayne than Frank Hamer. Most of my candidates are a bit past the age to play the part. Tom Berenger might have been good a decade or so ago,as with Tom Selleck. I really can't see any of the current Hollywierd "pretty boys" handling the part.

John Wayne back in the day.

From the pics I have seen he appears to be a very large imposing fellow, Tom Selleck (sp?) would have been good 20 years ago, now? Tough to say, ain't too many actors in Hollywood deserving of such a honorable roll in my opinion.

It got me to thinking, (dangerous I Know), if Hollywierd were to make a movie of Frank Hamer's career, who would you cast as Frank Hamer?
