I am also certain he knew the "mature and consequences of his acts", and his opinion was crafted knowing that SCOTUS would get the case in the due course of time. We will just see how things go from here, but for the time being Judge Hanen has been David to Obama's Goliath.

as you wondered, Judge Hanen, at least preliminarily, has taken a dim view of our current 'lawless' POTUS, This will be interesting to follow. Hanen's credentials and past are quite impressive.
