Blasted things are all over the place around here. Saw one working in wife's flower bed last summer. .38 S&W handload out of my little Terrier settled his hash quite nicely. Wife came around the house wanting to know what the ruckus was - I held the mole up by the tail, and she just said, " you always have to do things the hard way, don't you."

Beat trying to smack him with a shovel like my neighbor does.

Strange experience deer hunting

Had a very strange almost scary experience in my blind. Thought I felt something pushing up on my left boot. Decided it must be my toe twitching. Then I saw the ground MOVE. Got OUT of my blind and poked the spot with the end of my rifle. Nothing, so I got back in my blind but set my chair further back. Got settled in again and the ground moved MORE this time. For a second I almost considered shooting but with a deer rifle? No! Stomped the ground down at the spot and then beat on it with a rock. It HAS to be a mole but still creeped me out!
