Saw a P-38 and an F-22 flying in formation today.... (reply)

Several years ago at my nephews graduation weekend at the Air Force Academy two F-22's flew over the parade grounds at the Academy. They were fairly new at the time. What a sight. Of course they set off every car alarm in the parking area. Air craft fly mighty low over the Air Force Academy.

Yes, that is the WWII P-38 Lightening and the F-22 Raptor. They flew in formation for several passes, then broke towards each other (the P-38 passing in front of the Raptor and the Raptor passing behind the P-38) and then went their separate ways. It was awesome. Unfortunately, I did not have a camera.

Air show at Offutt AFB.
