I let a 3 inch 66 get by me several years ago. Haven't seen one since. It would be sticker shock today. Did pick up a four inch 686-3 right before the prices exploded. Nice shooter you have there. Congrats.

Hard to go wrong with a K-frame of any variety. Picked up a shorty 19 myself a couple years ago and just love it. It has proven itself quite accurate on the range and in the field, with a nice black squirrel taken out of the top of an Oak tree with one shot through the head.

Have a friend here that had spoken about wanting a model 14 in several conversations. He just could not bring himself to pay the price asked for them nowdays. I suggested he might find a nineteen for a better price and they also shoot very well. One day I visited him and he brings out his new to him 4" model 19 to show me. First thing I noticed were the diamond grips on it. Then the flawless finish. Next was the screw in the front of the trigger guard. Then he tells me he paid $150 for it. He had no idea other than it was a nineteen. You never know. They are out there.
