Congratulations!! Looks like the proper use of horsepower. If he can keep it inside after he is finished; he will be able to work it once in a while and still enjoy it many years into the future.

Very cool project... (reply)

We see those around here periodically and they are popular with the JD collectors in the area. What a great project for a teenager and it certainly looks like the chicks do think his tractor is sexy.

I don't think I have ever seen one of those.

My son loves tractors, but it will be a while before he is able to do something like that, he is only 1. I had a lot of fun restoring tractors in FFA when I was in high school

My son's new toy...

Starting a plow run

Trying to impress the ladies with his new "ride"

My 15 year old son has been working on restoring a 1941 John Deere LA tractor for about 10 months now. His 4-H group had their annual "plow day" on Saturday and he got to spend a few hours plowing with it. He had an absolute blast. As the leader of his 4-H group said "I've never seen a smile so wide on anyone's face as your son had all day long".

He's not done restoring it yet by any means, but still it is a neat piece of history. I think it is good looking too (The tractor I mean, though the girl in pink is kinda cute too...). Not bad for a 73 year old piece of farm equipment...
