The Tet Offensive in 1968 was a massive military victory for those fighting the communist's.

Around 500 American troops died while upwards of 200,000 Cong and NVA were killed and the ability of the North to wage war was destroyed. The war was won in the spring of 1968.

After Tet Walter Cronkite spun a story that the war was unwinnable and the American population bought it and the rest is history.

The story is the VC had killed a member of the General's family. I'm partial to the M-38 airweight version. Also an 60's era North Texas Gambler/Thug B.A. named Finnis Blankenship was partial to them, an old time POleece officer once told me.

M49-0 built between 1966-1969. Was a blue gun that has been hard chromed. Gun locks up very tight and shoots quite well, nice trigger. A touch of pitting on the thumb piece that was not polished out before plating. Uncle Mike's Boot Grips. Sales to gun friendly states. USPS Money Order for payment. $430 shipped.
