Must be a reaction to all the police shootings I hear about in Cleveland wherein 20-30 rounds are fired with few hits. Stapler might be more effective - except around my house they will be .45" diameter.

Being more of a traditional type fellow (read "geezer"), I prefer my antique, 1960s vintage Straightline, which I inherited from a predecessor state employee when I went to work for the state in 1972. It has considerable finish wear, but is still accurate and reliable. I have other staplers, of course, but that is the one I reach for when the chips are down and my life hangs on making one clean, fast staple on a thick sheaf of papers.....

Read an emergency planning document by a state law enforcement agency. It said when confronted by a robber to be polite and respectful (have seen similar stupid writings about active shooters - or throw books and staplers at them). Whatever happened to terminate by extreme prejudice by any means necessary?!?!
