Lost a Desert Eagle .41 Mag once. NM (reply)

Count me in as a gun "loser" as well. A good friend of mine once reported to the police he had a Model 10 gun stolen from his pickup glove box. Two years later he found on a high shelf in his closet and remembered he had taken it out and put it there. Kind of embarrassing when he went back to the station and told the police to never mind.

I've found a few small handguns in the late fall, early winter. I'll pull a heavy coat from the closet I haven't worn in awhile an d will find some sort of small auto mor more likely a J frame hiding in a pocket! Better than finding a $5 bill in a clean pair of pants!

Oh no, not the only one. I once misplaced (?) a Makarov (reply)

that I had hurriedly hidden in a "safe place" for more than 6 months. Also, I thought I'd lost a USFA single-action but it was hidden in the dark corner of the safe the whole time!

Christmas Present -- Found my lost 2nd Gen Peacemaker!

Folks:

While digging through the detritus in a spare bedroom, found many things -- most of which I did not need. Discovered a bunch of empty gun rugs, except for one that seemed rather heavy.

In it was a .357 2nd Generation Peacemaker, 5 1/2 inch barrel. I remember picking it up from the gunsmith (SASS shootist Big Whiskey) several months ago after he fixed what a Big Name Gunsmith had done to it. Its partner is a 2nd Gen .38 Special, same barrel length. Both have checkered faux ivory Colt grips.

When I start shooting cowboy style again next year, it will be at my side.

Happy Holidays,
