For decades I have loaded the 150 grain Nosler BT... (reply)

over 50.6 grains of H4895 (.4 under max) for 2944 fps, excellent accuracy and lightning bolt kills on whitetail at over 200 yards using our old Remington 78. Sierra's 150 grain Gameking and Hornady's 150 grain Interlock have been splendid as well, but the Noslet BT shoots a tad flatter. Work up carefully; I get about 5 loadings before the brass starts showing stress lines.

This load meets my needs perfectly and it wouldn't be hard to match using IMR's version. H4895 is great for reduced recoil and youth loads.

Looking for recommendations on a 30-06 150 gr load

with a medium burning powder - 17 inch barrel. I'm not looking for a max load necessarily. Just a good shooting load. I always used 48 grains of IMR4895 in the past for a good shooting "easy" load. Any opinions on 4064 or 432O versus just going with my old 4895 load?
