I think the earlier Engfields are off set not sure about the MK4. Either way it doesn't matter to me as long as I can get the sling through it and it fits on the band:-) the rifle was modified a little by my Dad in his youth so I am not worried about being period correct.

I've made a couple of semi-scouts out of Ishapore Enfields and may hve one around. If I remember right, the Enfield front sling swivel is offset to one side a little bit.

I went through my parts box and don't have one. I figured out that the front swivel from a Garand or an '03 Springfield will work.

I have the barrel band and screw so I just need a swivel. Anyone have an extra one in your stuff you would be willing to get rid of. I am not really looking for collectible, just want something that will function.
