When I "move and shoot"... (reply)

I shoot like this.

(you can see my old hat cam in this shot)

I never realized I did it till someone showed me pictures.

The XDs video above was shot with a Pivothead cam (about $300 GULP)

Here's a friend with the same setup, he shoots "normal".

Here's me, same match, same cam, only I have a big piece of foam under the nose piece to bring the POV up, it was my last attempt at making them work. It was hard to shoot because there were too high, and the foam was distracting. Only the second time I shot revolver this year with some awful reloads that wouldn't chamber. I fought the gun the whole match. A pretend ICORE match… I don't like having to aim that much. lol

Even with the foam and it jacked way up, it didn't work. Maybe good enough… but not $300 good enough. lol

My car, and I'm the only yahoo around. ;) (reply)

I sold those glasses to a friend. I loved the video quality, but I bought them for shooting USPSA. But when shooting that way ("action shooting") I have a really aggressive stance, head down, shoulders hunched, leaning waaaay in. So what I ended up with was really nice videos of my wrists.
:D

Was the car awaiting penetration tests? (reply)

I've been thinking of getting one of those glasses mounted video cameras to record my shooting. I think (my personal opinion) that I'm about 6 months or less away from cataract surgery. One eye is "ripe" and the other has just a bit to go.

I can't believe how easy it is to hit with. (reply)

This was my second time shooting it, right after I "polished the innards".

Nothing amazing, I was more testing the camera than anything else. First shot took a while as I was waiting on an airplane.
8" plates at…. I wrote 50 yards, but with was a bit farther than that.
