I picked up a good standard weight 1954 vintage Model 70 in 30-06 in a pawn shop in Corpus Christi about 6 years ago for $450.00, so they are out there. It is all original except for the recoil pad somebody added. That killed the collector's value, but suits me just fine.

I'm looking for a good example of a Winchester pre-64 in 30-06 shooter grade. I've always wanted one just because and want a plain old 30-06 If anyone sees one please send me an email. Thanks.
