Charles, those are two lovely pistols. I would not have thought I would like a SBH with a matte finish, but the fancy yet subdued walnut puts it right in the desirable category for me. Very nice indeed.

Of course the common denominator of these wonderful sixguns you have shared with us is the punkin.

Ruger OM Blackhawks, with short barrels in 357 Mag, with buffalo horn grips do you. Well here is another save. I found the pistol in a pawn shop in Odessa Texas for $120.00. The cylinder and barrel was very pitted. I sent it back to Ruger, and they replaced the cylinder, barrel and blued it for $125.00. They did convert it, but send the old parts back. I put in the old parts, added a steel ejector housing, a Belt Mountain base pin, and a stainless steel grip frame from an Old Army. I swaped the buffalo Horn grips off Doc O'Mera. Shoots as well as it looks.

The OM Superblack Hawk was found in the same pawn shop, and brought it home for $210.00. I had it matt blued, added a steel ejector housing and belt mountain pin. The grips are some fancy walnut from Ted Adamovitch (Blu-Magnum) I did a home trigger job on both pistols. I am not a big single action fan, but these are to fine vintage Rugers that I saved and both shoot very well.

They told me you could not receive mail where you are locked up.
