There are certain steps a prospective gun buyer needs to go through in order to be validated in himself and feel secure in his purchase. Though they don't have to be done in the order listed, every prospective buyer should do the following:

1-Go buy a gun - any gun

2 -After bringing it home, post on the Internet about your purchase and ask "Did I get a good deal?"

3 - Listen to the advice of dozens of people who you have never met and who you know nothing about as to whether you made the right purchase or not.

4 - Post questions on the Internet as to potential problems with the gun that you have already bought.

5 -Listen to the advice of dozens of people who you have never met and who you know nothing about.

6 -Tear the gun completely apart and search for potential problems.

7 - Post questions on the Internet as to what to look for.

8 -Listen to the advice of dozens of people who you have never met and who you know nothing about.

9 - Post questions on the Internet as to what would make it more accurate before you have even fired a shot with it.

10 - Listen to the advice of dozens of people who you have never met and who you know nothing about.

11 - Modify the gun as much as possible to make it more accurate before you even shoot it.

12 - Post a questions asking how hot you can load the gun before blowing it up.

13 -Listen to the advice of dozens of people who you have never met and who you know nothing about.

More Advice

1 - Don't read gun magazines. Writers are paid very well to lie to you. Always ask your questions on the internet where someone you do not know will always tell you the truth for free.

2- Don't read reloading manuals. What do those guys know with all their pressure testing data? Instead rely on someone you do not know to give you real loads over the internet.

3 - Never break-in a new gun by shooting it. Someone who you do not know will tell you the right way, over the internet, to break in a gun.

4 - You may not want to buy a new gun at all since on the internet someone you do not know is willing to tell you that everything made by (insert any company name here) is junk.

5 -After buying a new gun and before shooting it always ask on the internet "What is the most accurate load for my gun?" This is a sure sign to others on the net that you are very experienced in shooting and reloading.

6 - Never believe the recommendations of ammunition companies as to what guns their loads can be used in. What do they know? They only developed the load. Instead rely on someone who you do not know and who you know nothing about to give you, on the internet, the real skinny on successfully using Heavy Duty Plus + loads in Italian replicas.

Send an email to a popular firearms website asking when your gun was made and how many did they make and how many will they make and "...should I not shoot it to make it more valuable?" Five minutes later send another email asking why no one has answered the first email!
